Coaching Teams

Why invest?

daSh will help you improve and sustain team performance!

Performance will mean different things to different people depending on the context. Whatever your team’s situation, daSh will support and challenge you to focus on the right things, to ask the right questions, at the right time. daSh will encourage you to manage your own dialogue in order to enhance your team’s capability and performance.

As David Clutterbuck identified in Coaching the Team at Work, the business case is simple:

  • To improve specific aspects of team performance
  • To make things happen faster
  • To make things happen differently

daSh will engage you in a dialogue about why your team exists, where it is now and where it wants to go, its readiness for coaching, the potential cost of failing to deliver as a team, the degree of commitment, and the pay-off for the team coaching to be worth your investment

Why use daSh?

The daSh approach is solution focused – working with the team rather than doing it to the team. Team coaching with daSh will result in your team taking ownership of the coaching dialogue. By increasing awareness and taking responsibility for the coaching process, your team will enhance its motivation and close its performance gap.

Typical steps would involve:

1. Establishing with the client the context of the team’s operation and the organisation’s goals.

2. Discussion with each team member individually to get their perspective.

3. Initial meeting with the team to identify expectations, agree groundrules and what success would look like for the team coaching, and understand my role as coach.

4. Further sessions to identify what is working well, why and how to do more of it, identifying team and individual strengths and how these can be fully deployed, changing the focus of attention by identifying different options and possibilities, beginning with the end in mind as if the team had achieved its vision and goals, then working backwards to identify the key milestones and to establish what would need to have been implemented to achieve them.

Have a look at the team case studies and testimonials to hear about the experience of my clients in closing the gap.
