Did you know ...
‘Dash’ was one of Queen Victoria’s spaniels?
daSh in Morse Code is -.. .- ... ....?
Linda Ellis wrote movingly in The Dash Poem (www.lindaslyrics.com) about the dash between the birth and death dates on a gravestone that represents all the time alive on earth each of us spends:
“What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.”
A dash is a punctuation mark which is used especially to indicate a break in the thought or structure of a sentence? They add emphasis i.e. something that really matters - just like daSh Coaching!
